NM Cable

Please be advised the 2009 National Electric Code does not allow NM (romex)cable to run in damp or wet locations, please read the following text from NEC. This also means NM cable cannot be in conduit, it is considered a wet location per 300.9. NM cable is not allowed to be stripped down and the outer sheating removed and placed in conduit because the wire has no markings for example THHW THWN Etc. as set forth in 310.8.(c)

Weather Resistant Outlets for T-Poles

Please have your electricians make sure they are changing out the old GFIC outlets on T-Poles to the New GFIC weather resistant type outlets requird by code. We are still seeing old poles out there getting transported from job to job with the wrong outlets and having to fail them.
